| AJ Cross is a third generation
wrestler. He was trained for the sport of wrestling by his father and
grandfather. At age 19 in January 2005, he made his debut in GWA, in a
match with Brett Damon, which went to a double-countout. That match
didn't impress too many people, so AJ left to sharpen his skills a bit
more. Two months later, AJ Cross returned to wrestling, for HCW. AJ
went through several months of losing, and was destroyed by then-HCW
Champion, Titan. AJ left shortly after that match, but returned shortly
after and picked up his first victory, over Marc Henderson, which led
to a feud between the two superstars. The two men feuded for the next
few weeks, and it all came to a head, at Lockdown, in a Ladder Cage
match, which was won by Marc Henderson. Instead of leaving HCW again,
AJ stayed and picked up victories over Akuma and Rob Cavallo for the
next few weeks. AJ began stating that he deserved a shot at a title. AJ
proved it at Last Laugh, when he defeated Paul Hann, Enkei, and Kalki
to capture the HCW Young Lion Championship. |
